FMI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Maine to join the engineering team. You will support current production systems to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost and cycle time in carbon/carbon composites and high-temperature processes.

You will design and specify new equipment, perform root-cause analysis, collaborate with Production and Maintenance using Lean/Six Sigma and MRN standards, and prepare ECOs, procedures and production travelers.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 8 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of process equipment operation principles, methods, and process capability.
• Successful in a team environment.
• Demonstrated skills in technical problem solving and project coordination.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• MS Office experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment when needed.

Responsabilidades

• Design, specify, and develop new equipment for future production systems.
• Perform root cause analysis for failure investigations and data-driven continuous improvement decisions.
• Collaborate with Production and Maintenance to troubleshoot and improve equipment and processes using Lean/Six Sigma tools and MRl standards.
• Employ engineering tools such as BOM refinement, Design Reviews, PFMEAs, IQ/OQ, Value Stream Maps, GD&T, etc.
• Provide technical support for a 7x24 manufacturing facility in assigned areas.
• Research, organize and author ECOs, manufacturing procedures and manuals, initial production travelers.
• Support non-conformance program and implement preventive actions.
• Write periodic reports or oral presentations to management and customers on projects.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed.
• Apply quality standards to ensure compliance with certification requirements in plant applications.
