Job summary

TAE Aerospace group seeks a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer to develop repair processes for critical components in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will launch new repair programs, optimize processes, and collaborate with quality and customers to deliver exceptional results.

Essential duties include tooling design, process development, and cross-functional coordination. Strong GD&T, CAD modeling, and lean tooling optimization are required to succeed in this role at TAE Aerospace

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree (BS) and minimum 3 years experience; or 10 years related manufacturing experience in overhaul/repair environments.
  • Ability to interpret complex blueprints and GD&T; 3D CAD models.
  • Experience with fabrication methods (anodize, plating, welding, CNC/manual machining) and NDT processes.
  • Proficient CAD modeling and tools fixturing design.
  • Familiarity with Corridor or similar MRP systems; strong lean and Six Sigma understanding.
  • Ability to communicate with customers and internal stakeholders; report on metrics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain shop operation sketches, BOMs, and tool orders.
  • Determine cost-effective fabrication and inspection methods to meet requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specs; collaborate with quality.
  • Create tooling drawings and plans for in-house or outsourced fabrication.
  • Manage project plans for new product development orders.
  • Liaise with customers on quality requirements and specifications.
  • Resolve process problems and assist with manufacturing liaison.
  • Provide technical assistance to shop inspection and NCR dispositions.
  • Coordinate with departments and customers to ensure project progress.
  • Monitor gross margin, scrap, rework, and 5S; identify improvements.
  • Conduct studies to establish standard hours and cost data.
  • Consult with clients/vendors to discuss estimates and issues.
  • Apply GD&T and inspection methodologies; optimize tooling and machining strategies.
  • Read and interpret technical docs; present to management.
