Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing experience to develop and implement processes, layouts, and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation. You will drive adoption of automation, robotics, and digital tools to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to aircraft assembly.

• 2+ years engineering experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience adopting new manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Experience with aircraft assembly.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies and equipment installation.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
• Create and analyze 3D model data to optimize manufacturing and digital work instructions.
• Provide input to product design to optimize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
