Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Controls Engineer for its Aerospace Business in Southern California, specifically in Valencia or Mojave, CA. The role involves developing innovative control solutions and overseeing various chemical manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include engineering design, project management, and technical documentation, along with a focus on teamwork and collaboration. Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of engineering experience, particularly with PLCs.

Base salary is between $140,000 to $160,000, plus benefits and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineer performing PLC programming.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Front End Engineering, Design and Installation.
• Develop RFQs, manage vendors, and execute project workflows.
• Lead field teams and promote teamwork for timely project completion.
• Document processes including SOPs and training materials.
• Assist with capital budgeting and fiscal control of projects.
• Implement aerospace strategic MES/SCADA systems.
