Job summary

PPG is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Controls Engineer to develop innovative controls solutions within our multi-site Aerospace Business Unit in Southern California. The role involves project management and leadership while implementing aerospace strategic MES/SCADA systems.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, 5+ years in PLC programming, and the ability to travel up to 50%. The salary ranges from $140,000 to $160,000 with additional benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing programming of PLCs.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Only U.S. Citizens, Green Card holders, and political asylees or refugees are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a team member in all aspects of Front End Engineering.
• Develop RFQs, SOW, and directly manage vendors and contractors.
• Provide field leadership of employees and contractors.
• Document projects and special processes.
• Assist with capital budgeting and fiscal control.
• Implement aerospace strategic MES/SCADA throughout the SBU.
