Barron Industries, a growing leader in investment casting and precision machining for aerospace and defense, seeks an Accounting Specialist in Oxford, MI. You will handle AP/AR, invoices, vendor communications, and ERP data entry, while supporting operations and close processes.

The role offers exposure across accounting and customer service in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, requiring accuracy, teamwork, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or related accounting role; manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience working with customers and vendors in a professional business environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts payable activities: enter vendor invoices, match to POs, maintain docs, process payments.
• Communicate with vendors on payment questions and reconcile statements.
• Manage accounts receivable: issue invoices, monitor payments, record deposits accurately.
• Enter new customer jobs into Plex ERP, review contracts and docs for accuracy.
• Coordinate shipments with customers, carriers, and shipping staff; maintain proof-of-shipment docs.
• Maintain customer order and billing spreadsheets; keep data accurate and up to date.
• Prepare monthly AP/AR reconciliations and assist with close processes.
• Support special accounting projects and other admin duties as needed.
