Barron Industries in Oxford, MI is seeking an experienced Manager of Machining Operations. You will lead the launch of a new precision machining cell, oversee end-to-end CNC processes, and build a capable team across two facilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of precision CNC machining experience.
• Hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operations.
• Experience with high-precision, tight-tolerance parts.
• Experience with Doosan and Makino equipment.
• Previous leadership of CNC machining teams.
• Ability to build a machining capability from scratch.
• Comfort working across two facilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Hands-on manufacturing mindset with process development.

Responsibilities

• Lead build-out and launch of the initial precision machining cell.
• Own machining process end-to-end: drawing review, programming, setup, tooling, machining.
• Develop standardized workflows and best practices for safe, efficient production.
• Make the machining cell operational within 90 days.
• Build and mentor a growing team of machinists and an Applications Specialist.
• Ensure compliance with ITAR, ISO9001, AS9100.
• Collaborate with leadership on machining strategy and capacity planning.
