Job summary

LOOS & CO., INC. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair stationary industrial machinery and equipment.

The role supports the company’s position as a maker of premium wire, rope and assemblies used in aerospace and defense sectors. The position requires reading blueprints, following safety standards, and performing preventative maintenance with tools such as welders, lathes and grinders.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical and equipment experience in an industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety policies, housekeeping rules and quality standards.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics when working on machines.
  • Install, align, dismantle and move stationary machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Maintain power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems.
  • Repair defective parts and adjust machinery.
