Job summary

Enjet Aero in New Britain, CT, is seeking a Machine Maintenance & Facility Technician to perform general maintenance of shop machines, facilities, and HVAC systems. The role requires proactive repairs, safety compliance, and collaboration with maintenance staff to support production deadlines.

Shifts are 6AM–3:30PM, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed. Benefits include comprehensive health coverage, retirement plans, and a profit-sharing bonus program.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical ability to troubleshoot mechanical machine issues.
• Comply with established job safety practices, policies, and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives.
• Support and follow the guidelines of OSHA regulations.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Self-starting and can be held accountable to successfully complete all projects.
• Safely use basic hand, power, and air tools.
• Able to wear safety glasses and safety shoes.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
• Walk, stand, move around equipment, bend, kneel, squat, reach, stretch and use ladders.
• Full use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, legs and back.
• Actively communicate with team members and work well with others.
• Maintain labeling of chemicals per OSHA/EPA standards.
• Always think SAFETY while performing duties.
• Support site safety team.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Strong project management skills, self-starting and motivated to complete all required tasks.
• Repairs and maintains all assigned machines and equipment, including preventative maintenance help as needed.
• Troubleshoots repairs, installs, erects, moves, and/or dismantles all types of machinery and auxiliary production equipment.
• Respond and resolve maintenance issues that affect production quality and performance in a timely manner.
• Maintain TPM schedule of CNC machines with lubrication, oil levels, filter cleaning and cleaning of surrounding area.
• Lubricate and maintain equipment as per manufacturer recommendations.
• Maintain machine service records and monthly TPM paperwork.
• Mix cleaning chemicals per specification or as directed by management.
• Communicate with employees; build rapport with machine operators.
• Identify and report safety and maintenance issues to manager.
• Clean tools after use; keep facility to high standards.
• Perform routine HVAC RTU inspections and replace filters.
• Address spills and leaks; mop and dry as needed.
• Support other maintenance staff and travel to other Enjet locations.
