Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine LLC in San Diego seeks a Machinist to set up and operate a variety of manual and CNC machine tools for manufacturing and repairing precision aerospace components. You will read blueprints, use precision measuring instruments, and follow GD&T requirements to ensure safety and quality.

The successful candidate will maintain productivity, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with engineers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of machining practices, setup, tooling, and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture and repair precision aerospace components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect parts and verify conformance to specifications.
• Monitor machining operations and complete required inspection and production documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow company policies.
