Job summary

Davis Machine in Euless, Texas is seeking a Machining Supervisor for 1st shift to lead daily operations on the shop floor, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production of aerospace components.

The role requires strong CNC programming experience, multi-axis machining, and a proven supervisory background in a highly regulated manufacturing setting. This hands-on leadership position emphasizes continuous improvement and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience, aerospace/defense preferred.
• 2+ years CNC Programming experience.
• 3+ years direct supervisory experience in aerospace env.
• 5+ years’ experience with complex CNC multi-axis machining.
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, setups.
• Experience reading aerospace drawings, GD&T, customer specs.
• OSHA knowledge and manufacturing safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily 1st shift machining operations, with clear priorities.
• Ensure production schedules and customer delivery requirements are met.
• Monitor workflow, address bottlenecks and downtime promptly.
• Coach and develop employees; enforce safety and performance expectations.
• Partner with HR and Operations on performance, attendance, and actions.
• Support training and development of machinists.
• Maintain organized, safe shop-floor environment.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning to meet commitments.
