Job summary

TeDan Surgical Innovations in Houston seeks a Machining & Assembly Shift Supervisor (1st Shift) to lead safe, efficient production across machining and assembly, meeting targets for quality, cost and delivery while driving Lean initiatives.

The role requires 5+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role; experience in regulated industries, and strong Lean, 5S and ERP/MES skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
• Experience in machining and/or assembly in a regulated industry.
• Experience driving production output and meeting schedules in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.
• Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and standard work.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations across machining and assembly to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and 5S-compliant work environment; enforce procedures.
• Execute daily production plans, prioritize work orders, and coordinate shift handoffs.
• Supervise, coach, and develop operators and leads; reinforce standard work and performance expectations.
• Monitor production performance, escalate issues, and drive problem‑solving to remove bottlenecks.
• Lead Lean and continuous improvement efforts, including visual management and Kaizen activities.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, and CI teams to improve routings and process performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and audit-ready documentation and traceability.
