Job summary

FDH Aero in Valencia, CA is hiring a Machine Operator II for full-time work in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will operate low-to-mid complexity machinery, perform routine maintenance, and assist in training new operators to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will read technical drawings, gain basic G-code familiarity, and handle aerospace materials with care while following safety procedures and documenting data in production systems.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience, or equivalent on-the-job training.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision while maintaining attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings and provide training support.
• Basic problem-solving skills to address machine and process issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate low-to-mid complexity machinery following standard instructions and adjust settings for minor variations.
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues to ensure continuous operation.
• Assist in training new operators on standard machine operations, providing hands‑on guidance and demonstrating proper setup and safety procedures.
• Read and comprehended technical drawings to understand machining requirements and ensure alignment with production goals.
• Develop a basic understanding of G-code programming to support machine setup and minor adjustments.
• Gain basic material knowledge of aerospace materials to select appropriate inputs for specific machining tasks.
• Conduct in-process inspections to monitor product quality and report issues promptly.
• Assist in loading and unloading raw materials into machines under moderate oversight.
• Clean and maintain equipment and follow safety procedures.
