Job summary

Comlux America in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a Logistics Manager to lead warehousing, shipping, and planning for our aircraft completion and manufacturing operations. You will ensure material readiness, optimize inventory, and drive efficient production schedules while collaborating with Planning, Quality, Finance and Procurement.

The role requires strong leadership, ERP/MRP proficiency, and a track record in complex manufacturing, preferably aerospace.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
7–10 years of progressive experience in production planning, materials management, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
3 years of leadership experience managing planning, materials, inventory, logistics, warehouse, or operational support teams.
Experience managing material flow and logistics within a complex manufacturing environment.
Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, inventory management, warehouse management, or other operational systems.
Experience leading process improvement, operational excellence, or Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Aerospace, aviation, or similarly regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

Lead warehousing and distribution functions to ensure materials and products are received, moved, stored, kitted, and shipped in support of production requirements.
Manage shipping and receiving activities, including domestic and international shipments, to ensure efficient material flow and prevent bottlenecks or delays.
Establish departmental priorities, workload balancing, staffing requirements, and resource plans to support operational demands.
Lead Manufacturing Kitting activities to ensure materials are accurately picked and delivered to production on schedule.
Oversee inventory management activities to maintain accuracy, safety stock, and material availability.
Develop and maintain planning, material control, warehousing, and logistics processes and procedures.
Monitor material availability and partner with Supply Chain to mitigate risks and ensure readiness.
Lead readiness reviews to identify risks and establish mitigation plans.
Collaborate with Material Analysts and Supply Chain to optimize inventory and reduce excess.
Establish and monitor KPIs for scheduling, inventory, and logistics performance.
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Drive continuous improvement in planning, material flow, and warehouse operations.
Escalate significant planning or logistics issues as needed.
Support ERP/MRP implementations and operational reporting systems.
Ensure material traceability and accurate shipping/receiving documentation.
Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Procurement and Production to resolve material issues.
Develop workforce plans and coach staff to improve capability and accountability.
Communicate across Planning, Production, Supply Chain, Finance and other stakeholders.
Prepare performance reports and lead improvement initiatives.
