Job summary

Systel is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to design and refine manufacturing systems in our Sugar Land, TX facility. You will convert engineering blueprints into scalable workflows, drive continuous improvement, and work across cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

The role emphasizes on-site execution, lean methodologies, and hands-on experience on the production floor within aerospace/defense-grade contexts.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university.
Ten or more years of professional experience in industrial/manufacturing engineering within a complex production environment.
Hands-on experience on the production floor implementing process improvements and troubleshooting.
Experience in aerospace or automotive sectors with knowledge of quality systems and production tracking.
Experience with ruggedized computing hardware is a major asset.

Responsibilities

Analyze production workflows to eliminate waste and improve efficiency using lean methodologies.
Design and update facility layouts, ergonomics, and material flow to maximize space and safety.
Conduct time studies, establish labor standards, and balance production lines to meet demand.
Specify, procure, and oversee installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling.
Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and design engineering to transition new products to production.
