Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Lab Technician (Aerospace) in Kent, WA to support testing and inspection of sheet metal aircraft components. You will prepare samples, operate lab equipment, record results, and identify nonconforming conditions to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and commitment to safety and quality within a manufacturing environment. Strong communication with engineering teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with office procedures and typical office software.
• Familiarity with personal computers and related software.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing planning and sketches.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform tensile, bend, hardness tests and metallographic analyses on aerospace materials.
• Monitor periodic process control testing and ensure samples are evaluated.
• Record test findings and prepare results for review by engineers and customers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and keep the testing area clean and organized.
• Communicate findings clearly to supervisors, engineers or quality personnel.
