Job summary

General Galactic Technologies Corporation is seeking a Facilities Manager to own the physical space where we design, build, and test aerospace hardware. You will manage a blended office, lab, and industrial/test environment as we scale our operations.

You will oversee daily upkeep, vendor relationships, safety compliance (OSHA/Cal/OSHA), budget control, and access systems, shaping our growing workspace to support rapid development and production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of facilities management experience in a startup, lab, or hardware environment.
• Working knowledge of building systems and vendor management.
• Familiarity with OSHA workplace safety standards.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, resource-constrained environment.
• Strong organizational and vendor-negotiation skills.
• Ability to lift/move equipment and be on your feet regularly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily upkeep of facilities including labs and offices.
• Plan, implement, and reconfigure office/lab spaces as team grows.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
• Support installation of aerospace test equipment and lifting operations.
• Maintain facility budget and approve related expenses.
• Ensure OSHA/Cal/OSHA safety compliance.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, fire safety, and evacuations.
• Manage access control, badge systems, and visitor check-in.
• Coordinate desk setups for new hires and internal events.
• Use facility software for access control and visitor management.
