Job summary

Rainier Recruiting is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager in Redmond, WA, to lead strategic customer relationships with major OEM and aerospace customers.

This role combines strategic business development with long-term account management, coordinating with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance. The successful candidate will own executive relationships and drive profitable growth in a complex manufacturing environment with travel ~25%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years in Key Account Management, Strategic Account Management, Program Management, or Commercial Management within aerospace.
  • Proven experience managing large OEM or Tier 1 customer relationships and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for major customer programs.
  • Build and maintain executive-level customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing business and expand product offerings.
  • Lead pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and contract renewals.
  • Manage account profitability and support long-term revenue growth.
  • Coordinate proposal and bid activities with internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Program Managers to ensure customer priorities stay aligned across the organization.
  • Review business performance and remove obstacles to customer success.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams to align customer commitments with capabilities.
  • Lead executive business reviews and customer satisfaction initiatives.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, pipeline management, and strategic planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement across customer-facing commercial processes.

Key Account Manager

Redmond, WA (Onsite)

$140,000-$150,000 Base + 10-15% Annual Bonus

A well-established global aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead strategic customer relationships with major OEM and aerospace customers.

This is a highly visible commercial leadership position responsible for growing key customer accounts, leading commercial strategy, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure long-term customer success. The successful candidate will serve as the executive relationship owner for assigned customers while working closely with Program Management, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Strategic Account Management, Program Management, or Commercial Management within the aerospace industry
  • Proven experience managing large OEM or Tier 1 customer relationships
  • Strong commercial negotiation and contract management experience
  • Experience owning account profitability or P&L responsibility
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive relationship management skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Experience leading or mentoring Program Managers or project teams is highly desirable
Preferred Experience
  • Aerospace manufacturing or aerospace supply chain experience
  • Experience working with complex engineered products
  • MBA or other advanced business education is a plus

Travel
