Job summary

Houston Precision Fasteners is seeking an Inventory Specialist to maintain 100% inventory accuracy, support production, and ensure AS9100 compliance for aerospace-grade fasteners. The role focuses on managing raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, performing cycle counts, and ensuring precise lot traceability and documentation for certifications like MTRs and CoCs.

Qualifications

2–3 years in inventory management, preferably in aerospace, fastener, or precision machining.
ERP/MRP software experience (JobBOSS, SAP) and strong Excel skills.
Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus.
Ability to distinguish between look-alike fasteners (different pitches, materials, coatings) with accuracy.
Forklift certification is required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
Maintain strict lot traceability with required certifications (MTRs, CoCs) per AS9100.
Unload, verify, and inspect incoming hardware and materials against POs.
Kit materials for production to ensure correct hardware for jobs.
Keep warehouse clean, organized, and labeled; apply 5S for small-batch parts.
Package finished goods per customer specs and protect during transit.
