Job summary

Aero-Tech Engineering is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain location accuracy, receive, store, issue, and transfer materials, and ensure ERP records are current to support aerospace production schedules.

You will perform cycle counts, resolve discrepancies, enforce FIFO and 6S standards, coordinate with multiple departments, prep materials for subcontracting, and uphold AS1900 quality requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, store, issue, and transfer materials while maintaining accurate physical inventory and ERP inventory records.
  • Prepare, stage, and kit materials for production orders to ensure manufacturing schedules are met.
  • Process inventory transactions, movement journals, and documentation to maintain inventory accuracy and full material traceability.
  • Conduct cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and reconcile inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO inventory practices and proper material handling procedures.
  • Review production schedules, inventory reports, and ERP data to support production and inventory control activities.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and product-related issues.
  • Maintain stockroom organization, identify and remove nonconforming or damaged material, and prepare materials for subcontract processing and final assembly.
  • Ensure inventory records, documentation, and digital data comply with AS1900 quality requirements and company procedures while supporting 6S workplace standards.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting the company’s quality policy and exercising authority to stop production when quality concerns are identified.

Maintains proper inventory location for all material within PMC. Gathers the proper material for kitting to allow for the finished good to be assembled by performing the following duties.
