Job summary

REEL USA Corp. has an opening for a Maintenance Instrumentation, Electrical, & Automation Technician at the Mobile, AL site. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain aerospace ground equipment, production machines, jigs, tools and facility systems with a strong safety mindset.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant maintenance experience, hydraulic/pneumatic/electrical skills, PLC experience, and the ability to learn Siemens software. Some overtime and a team-based environment are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of craft apprenticeship, or equivalent experience including military.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant maintenance experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and industrial kills with PLC experience, overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of Siemens software would be an advantage.
• Ability to learn Siemens software.
• A proven positive safety, health, and environmental record.
• Familiar with personal protective equipment and hazard awareness.
• Willing and able to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Strong written and verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Able to work independently as well. Self-motivated with a history of dependability including work history.
• Demonstrates ability to function in a reactive environment, time management and organizational skills; multi-tasking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office would be an asset.
• Flexible in performing changing assignments and work schedules; overtime may be required.
• Physical requirements include climbing stairs, standing, sitting, kneeling, etc.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain aerospace ground equipment, production machines, jigs, tools and plant facility equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production support equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production support equipment during ongoing operations.
• Read and interpret PLC programs, equipment manuals, electrical and mechanical drawings, and work orders.
• Create work instructions and document procedures.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Use hand and power tools, multi-meters, and material handling equipment.
• Report faults and unusual situations to supervision using the Intervention Sheet.
