Job summary

GE Aerospace in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an Aerospace Instrument Assembler (1st shift). You will read schematics and parts lists, use hand tools, and perform repetitive assembly under a microscope with good visual acuity.

You should have at least 1 year of small parts assembly and soldering experience, pass IPC 610 & J-STD tests after training, and be comfortable working with Windows software and basic measurement tools. This role starts at 7:00 am and may require some overtime.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of assembly experience with small parts.
• Minimum 1 year soldering experience.
• Must pass soldering skills test and IPC 610/J-STD certifications after training.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand technical diagrams and parts lists.
• Assemble electronics with hand tools.
• Work under microscopes for extended periods.
