Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Colorado Springs is seeking an Inspection Technician IV to ensure quality in our aerospace products. You will inspect assemblies, use precision measuring tools, and report non-conformances while supporting quality management and cross-functional teams.

With a focus on safety and precision, you will contribute to designs and processes across engineering and manufacturing, participating in continuous improvements and adhering to Collins quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant inspection experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ATF clearance.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of marking requirements and part/assembly traceability.
• Must be able to use calipers, micrometers and other hand tools.
• First Article Inspection experience – AS9102 standard.
• Intermediate Excel data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Inspect top level and lower level assemblies and materials to ensure compliance with drawings or customer specifications.
• Use measurement tools and gauges as necessary for inspection.
• Interpret and use the MRP system.
• Report non-conformances using the NMRS system.
• Assist Quality Management as directed.
• Inspect products, samples, materials, and test data for conformity to blueprints and standards.
• Provide feedback to design and manufacturing engineering.
