Job summary

United Launch Alliance in Cape Canaveral, Florida is seeking an Aerospace Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair and calibrate HVAC and environmental control systems across production and facility operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor pressures and temperatures, and respond to emergencies, with travel to other ULA facilities as required. A minimum 6 years of related HVAC experience and ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to work independently or in a team to support HVAC shop operations.
• Read and adjust controls using testing equipment (Freon leak testers, thermometers, psychrometers, gauges).
• Braze and solder various metals to connect piping.
• Flexible schedule including overtime and second/third shifts as needed.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance, testing, overhauling, installation, and repairs on HVAC equipment and related systems.
• Performs preventive maintenance like changing filters and cleaning cooling towers and coils.
• Monitors operation of mechanical systems and responds to emergencies.
• Performs service on pumps, motors, valves, and related equipment.
• Uses blueprints/design specs to install or repair systems.
• Travel to other ULA facilities as required.
