Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is hiring an Aerospace Harnessing Technician to assemble and test flight harnesses for spacecraft. You will read wiring diagrams, fabricate harnesses per IPC/WHMA-A-620, perform hipot tests, and document results in build records.

You’ll work with Lab Engineers and quality teams in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment. Desirable backgrounds include aerospace harness build, aircraft maintenance, or military aviation technician roles; strong attention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building, maintaining, or repairing aerospace harnesses.
• Proficiency with crimping tools, soldering equipment, and harness lacing/taping.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and MIL-SPEC harness requirements.
• Experience with hipot testers and milliohm meters.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings to assemble harnesses.
• Fabricate harnesses using crimping, soldering, lacing, shielding, and connector assembly per standards.
• Perform electrical testing and document results (continuity, insulation resistance, hipot).
• Inspect harnesses for workmanship and compliance with specs.
• Maintain build records, travelers, and inspection logs.
• Identify missing information and communicate gaps to engineers; suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering to resolve nonconformances.
• Follow ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols.
• Operate and maintain harness fabrication tools and test equipment.
• Support lab organization, tool tracking, material staging, and cleanliness.
