Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an Aerospace Harnessing Technician to support fabrication, integration, and testing of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and aerospace systems. You will work closely with Lab Engineers and cross-functional teams to build harnesses from drawings and ensure compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience building, maintaining, or repairing aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability wire harnesses.
• Proficiency with crimping tools, soldering equipment, heat-shrink applications, and harness lacing/taping.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and MIL-SPEC harness requirements.
• Experience with hipot testers and milliohm meters.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret schematics from engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in tight spaces with ESD-sensitive components.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings to assemble harnesses accurately.
• Fabricate harnesses using crimping, soldering, lacing, shielding, and connector assembly techniques per IPC/WHMA-A-620 and aerospace standards.
• Perform electrical testing, including continuity, insulation resistance, and hipot testing, and document results.
• Inspect harnesses for workmanship quality and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain build records, travelers, and inspection logs per requirements.
• Identify gaps in work instructions or designs; communicate with engineers to improve processes.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
• Follow ESD, FOD, and cleanroom protocols as required.
