Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety activities onsite for a large aerospace construction project in Charleston, SC. You will work closely with project leadership and craft personnel to ensure OSHA compliance, conducting risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations while promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction Certification.
• Minimum 5 Years Of Construction Safety Experience.
• Mechanical construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily safety activities for mechanical and fire protection construction operations.
• Maintain a visible field presence alongside craft personnel and project supervision.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments.
• Monitor mechanical piping, HVAC, fire protection, and equipment installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.
• Provide field coaching and mentorship to supervisors and craft personnel.
• Deliver toolbox talks and support ongoing safety training initiatives.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plans.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain safety reports, inspections, observations, and compliance documentation.
• Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the project.
