Job summary

RTX is offering a Systems Engineering Co-op in the Portland, Oregon area to design, develop, and test Head-Up Guidance Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, and related display products for military, air transport, and corporate jets. You will work on interfaces, functionality, and verification to support safety and performance goals.

The role emphasizes lifecycle thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities to learn system certification processes with FAA/EASA/Transport Canada.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Knowledge of aircraft or electronic systems

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Head-Up Guidance Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, and new display products for military and commercial markets.
• Define interfaces with other aircraft systems and specify functionality, display formats, and behavior.
• Verify and validate implementations; support system certification with FAA/EASA/Transport Canada.
