Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Prescott, AZ is seeking a skilled Grind Operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will operate precision CNC grinding machines to produce high-tolerance components in accordance with aerospace specifications.

You will read blueprints, measure parts with micrometers and calipers, and maintain tight tolerances. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and collaboration with engineers and QA to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years experience operating grinders in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines (Rotary, ID/OD).
• Read engineering blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gauges.
• Maintain tight tolerances (+/- .0001").
• Document work and inspection results accurately.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and aerospace standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA to resolve issues.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
