Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston seeks a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer (Level 4) to lead fuselage primary structure work for the 787 program. You will perform advanced stress analyses and guide supplier oversight to ensure structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.

This role requires 5+ years of stress analysis experience, collaboration across teams, and the ability to certify analyses and test results for regulatory review on first shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials).
• 5+ years of experience performing stress analysis on fuselage or related structures.
• 3+ years of experience performing stress analysis on composite structures.
• Prior experience with aircraft, heavy structures, hardware systems or interiors manufacturing/production systems.

Responsibilities

• Operates as a structural analysis lead on Boeing 787 Fuselage primary structure; signs technical documents substantiating structural capability.
• Performs stress analysis using hand methods, FE tools, and dynamic simulation methods.
• Reviews and signs off on supplier documents, drawings, analyses, tests, procedures and reports for engineering oversight.
• Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements for Fuselage primary structure designs.
• Coordinates with other groups to define load cases, boundary conditions and interfaces.
