Job summary

Collins Aerospace in York, Nebraska, has an onsite manufacturing role on 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm–11:00 pm). The position involves racking parts, preparing shipments, annealing and degreasing operations, and reading blueprints and GD&T. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and basic math and computer skills.

Experience with gauges, calipers, hand tools, and reading drawings is preferred. Health, retirement, tuition reimbursement, and other benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent or 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic math skills, including decimals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn multiple applications.
• Experience with measurement equipment (gauges, calipers).
• Experience reading, interpreting, and following blueprints.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Experience reading/interpreting drawings/ GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety racking methods to process parts.
• Prepare parts for shipment to customers.
• Perform machine setup and runs on annealing furnaces and degreasers.
• Cleaning, racking and heat treating of components.
• Read, interpret, and comprehend process prints, engineering and quality standards.
• Monitor part tolerances while performing operations and identify non-conforming features.
• Maintain documentation and system inputs (travelers, production tracking).
• Identify and report process inefficiencies and machine issues.
• Follow work priorities to accomplish production goals.
• Handle contact with coolants, cleaning fluids, and oils; manage chemical vapors.
