Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Chantilly, VA to greet visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and support a secure, professional environment. The role emphasizes customer service and adherence to security procedures in an aerospace/defense setting.

The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, active DoD Secret clearance, and availability for a part-time daytime schedule. CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An active Department of Defense Secret clearance is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk location within an aerospace and defense environment by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Manage visitor access by greeting guests, verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and directing visitors in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, access-control systems, and front desk communications; report unusual activity, access concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident documentation, and other required records while protecting confidential information.
