Job summary

SOGECLAIR is seeking an experienced Project Manager for Experimental Flight Test programs in Wichita, Kansas. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to plan, execute, and monitor complex flight test projects from concept through certification.

The role requires a technical engineering background and 5–8 years of aerospace PM experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive project success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5–8 years of project management experience in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of PM principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience supporting aircraft development, certification, or flight test programs.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex Experimental Flight Test projects with adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to establish plans, milestones, and execution strategies.
• Partner with engineering, suppliers, and customers to drive project success.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, priorities, and resource plans across multiple projects.
• Identify project risks and lead mitigation planning and execution.
• Monitor performance and provide regular status updates to leadership.
• Coordinate safety and security processes related to product development and flight tests.
• Support investigations and corrective actions for potential deficiencies.
• Prepare budget forecasts and maintain visibility into financial performance.
• Create and present project reports and executive updates.
• Coordinate activities across multiple sites and support remote collaboration.
