Job summary

SOGECLAIR in Wichita, KS seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer to join our aerospace engineering team. You will perform structural analyses to verify the integrity and regulatory compliance of aircraft structures across the lifecycle.

You will develop and apply FEA models, static and fatigue analyses, and work with cross‑functional teams to support design reviews, testing, and certification efforts. Experience with metallic and composite structures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience with a BS, 3–6 years with an MS, or 0–3 years with a PhD.
• Knowledge of mechanics of materials, aircraft structures, and finite element modeling.
• Experience with static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis to evaluate aircraft components and assemblies for strength, durability, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct finite element modeling (FEA), static stress, fatigue and damage tolerance, thermal, vibration, and structural analyses.
• Develop analytical models and engineering calculations to validate structural designs.
• Support structural sizing and optimization for metallic and composite structures.
• Prepare stress reports, substantiation reports, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Certification, and Product Support teams.
• Support design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and post-delivery engineering activities.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and applicable aerospace regulations.
