Job summary

SOGECLAIR in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Project Manager for Experimental Flight Test programs. You will lead cross-functional teams, define scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with technical experts, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure aligned execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5–8 years in aerospace project management, and strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in project management within the Aerospace industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management processes and principles.
  • Experience in development and certification Flight Test.

Responsibilities

  • Establish prioritization methods across projects.
  • Identify risks and lead mitigation planning and execution.
  • Coordinate safety and security processes for product deficiencies.
  • Prepare budget visibility and resource allocation.
  • Provide visibility reports for leadership levels.
  • Coordinate multi-site activities and remote participation as needed.

Job description

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and deliver on time, complex projects and activities related to Experimental Flight Test.
  • Manage cross-functional teams in the establishment of scope, schedule and budget of projects.
  • Work closely with technical experts, business leaders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure adherence and compliance of projects scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage and establish methods related priorities between projects and activities.
  • Identify and report on risks and lead risk mitigation planning and execution.
  • Participate and/or coordinate within the internal safety and security processes to assess, contain, and correct potential product deficiencies with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare and provide visibility of budget requirement / resource allocation.
  • Prepare and present visibility reports for the various levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate and manage multi-site activities and remote participation as necessary.
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS
  • You have a Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field.
  • You have 5-8 years of experience in project management within the Aerospace industry.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Project Management processes and principles.
  • You have previous experience in development and certification Flight Test.
  • You demonstrate a professional attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as foresight, accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to objectives and responsibilities.
  • You have a natural leadership and pro-active attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • You are self-motivated, autonomous, enthusiastic and results oriented.
  • You demonstrate ability to work willingly and independently in a fast paced, challenging environment.
  • You have effective problem-solving skills with the ability to make good decisions to move projects along to meet or exceed the targets.
  • You have good computing skills (proficient in MS Office, specifically Powerpoint, Excel, and Project).
