Job summary

Hermeus, a venture-backed defense aviation company, seeks a Flight Operations & Airworthiness Engineering Intern to support planning, development, and execution of flight operations and airworthiness activities for the Quarterhorse aircraft.

This internship offers exposure to crossing flight operations, test, safety, and airworthiness, with opportunities to contribute to technical deliverables, risk assessments, and strategic planning in a fast-paced, high-performance aircraft program.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or graduate degree in a STEM field relevant to aerospace.
• Interest in aviation, flight test, or airworthiness.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• GPA 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Support airworthiness, flight operations, and safety documentation for experimental aircraft.
• Assist in preparing technical deliverables for airworthiness packages.
• Support risk analysis, hazard identification, and risk tracking.
• Apply engineering data analysis to assess operational data and risk.
• Collaborate with engineering, flight test, operations, and programs teams.
• Identify gaps and communicate needs in flight operations processes.
• Support longer-range planning aligning with milestones.
