Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a Flight Operations & Airworthiness Engineering Intern to support planning, development, and execution of flight operations and airworthiness activities for the Quarterhorse aircraft. Ideal candidates are engineering students with aviation experience who can contribute to technical deliverables, risk assessments, data analysis, and planning for program objectives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a STEM field with a focus on aerospace or related discipline.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• Interest in aviation, flight test, or airworthiness.
• Strong written and verbal communication and data interpretation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with ambiguity.
• Strong initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support development of airworthiness, flight operations, and safety documentation for experimental aircraft.
• Assist in preparing technical deliverables for airworthiness packages.
• Assist with risk assessments, hazard identification, and risk tracking.
• Analyze operational data and apply statistical methods.
• Collaborate with engineering, flight test, operations, and program teams.
• Identify gaps and communicate needs in airworthiness processes.
• Support longer-range planning to advance milestones.
