Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Promontory, UT seeks a Flight Inspector at Level 1 or Level 2 to join our Receiving Inspection Team. You will inspect flight-critical hardware, validate supplier documentation, and ensure conformity before production acceptance.

The role emphasizes disciplined inspection execution, documentation control, and collaboration with Procurement and Quality teams. Experience with AS9100 or SQAR is preferred; no active clearance required to start.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent for Level 1.
• 0 years experience for Level 1; 2 years for Level 2.
• Knowledge of inspection for identity and dimensional conformance.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent QMS requirements.
• Familiarity with SQAR requirements and Q-code application.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection on flight-critical hardware including EEE components, PWBs, RF cables, COTS, and GFE/CGF.
• Validate supplier documentation such as Certificate of Conformance, test data, lot traceability.
• Execute inspection per Quality specifications and program requirements.
• Maintain inspection records in TIPQA and verify Costpoint routing on acceptance.
• Initiate NCRs and support MRB dispositions.
• Apply visual, dimensional, and documentation-based inspection techniques; enforce holds.
• Support RCCA reviews for defects and systemic issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, and Production to resolve documentation issues.
