Job summary

Daher’s Sandpoint, Idaho site seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for Final Assembly and Aircraft Systems to translate design intent into safe, repeatable installation processes. You’ll work hands‑on with mechanics, own build sequences, and support tooling and documentation.

The role spans from design input to production support, with 10% travel and compensation aligned with experience. Base salary ranges and a broad benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in manufacturing, aerospace, or related field.
• Experience in aerospace, aircraft final assembly, or complex low‑rate assembly.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and 3D models.
• DFM capability and root‑cause problem solving.
• Knowledge of electrical, avionics, hydraulics, or other aircraft systems.

Responsibilities

• Work with mechanics to solve build issues, improve safety and quality.
• Own and improve FAL build sequences, routings, and manufacturing methods.
• Provide manufacturability input on new designs and changes.
• Reconcile eBOM and mBOM; keep ERP/PLM/drawings aligned.
• Create manufacturing drawings, CAD models, work instructions, tooling requirements.
• Partner with Design Eng., Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Tooling, and Configuration Management.
