Job summary

Omni Aerospace is a leading aerospace manufacturer seeking an experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our manufacturing facility. The role involves electrical, plumbing, and general building work, with on-call and overtime responsibilities.

You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support various facility projects while keeping thorough records and working safely around CNC equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in a related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in facility structure systems demonstrating practical maintenance proficiency.
• Strong mechanical and electrical abilities with knowledge of safety/environmental practices.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic, routine, and preventative facilities maintenance including construction, repair, restoration, and replacement of facility components.
• Follows SOPs to install, inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and waste systems.
• Assists with projects like troubleshooting, painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation, and moving furniture or materials.
• Conducts preventative tasks to ensure optimal functionality and longevity of building systems and equipment.
• Responds to maintenance requests and emergencies to address leaks, malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Maintains records of maintenance activities, work orders, repairs, and inventory.
• Supports events with setup/teardown and equipment operations; collaborates with trades contractors as needed.
• Builds custom crates for shipping orders; oversees coolant and chip disposal for CNC machines.
• Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies and ensures organized mechanical/storage areas.
• Ensures building security and safety, including after-hours checks of doors and electrical appliances.
• Remedies snow and ice removal in parking areas and facility entrances.
