Job summary

Aerospace Fabrication and Materials, LLC, based in Farmington, Minnesota, is seeking a Fabricator 2 Aerospace to join our on-site production team. The role focuses on fabricating aerospace and military softgoods and thermal control components per engineered drawings and quality standards.

Daily tasks include measuring and cutting materials, operating fabrication equipment, assembling components, and performing in-process inspections to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication or manufacturing processes such as cutting, sewing, bonding, assembly, or working with industrial hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical documentation, including drawings, work orders, and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to perform measurements and inspections accurately.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including use of rulers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
• Commitment to workplace safety, proper handling of materials, and maintaining a clean, organized production area.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in aerospace, defense, textiles, or related manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in manufacturing or fabrication is a plus.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift materials as required for extended periods, in line with reasonable job-related physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate aerospace and military softgoods and thermal control components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Measure and cut materials, operate fabrication equipment and hand tools, assemble components.
• Perform in-process inspections to ensure accuracy and consistency.
