Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years fabrication and machining experience required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong CAD interpretation and drafting skills are needed.
• Ability to obtain US security clearance is required.
• Experience with budget and estimating processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of aerospace fabrication and assembly to support R&D strategies.
• Design, develop, verify and implement improvements to fabrication technologies.
• Support cross-functional teams and capture cost/weight savings.
• Research and analyze materials, tooling, and processes for aero systems.
• Analyze design allowables, processing methods and quality specs.
• Review drawings for conformance and aid in failure analysis.
• Implement concepts, analyze prototypes, and ensure compliance with regs.
• Facilitate technology transfer to production and support users.
• Assess feasibility of new fabrication techniques and resolve issues.
• Oversee fabrication of test parts and sustain lab machining assets.
