Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technical Analyst with extensive Composite Fabrication experience to guide Estimating, fabrication and Report Out activities in support of multiple research projects within Spirit Defense.

You will collaborate with engineering, materials & process teams and program teams to move technical solutions from lab to factory floor, guiding fabrication technologies and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of fabrication and machining technology experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing environment experience.
  • Experience with CATIA or other equivalent CAD programs.
  • Engineering and technical drawing interpretation knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understand Estimating and Budgets.
  • Experience utilizing various Microsoft Office Suite applications, such as Office 365 and Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, Teams and Visio.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, verify, apply, and implement experimental technologies and improvements to established fabrication technologies.
  • Support multi-functional teams in the above effort, coordinate the identification and capture of cost and weight savings, and assist in strategic technology planning.
  • Research, design, develop and analyze materials, tools, products, and their related fabrication and assembly processes to develop and optimize for use in engineering design of and/or application in aero systems structures, systems and subsystems.
  • Develop, analyze, and apply material properties and design allowables, processing methods, and quality engineering specifications and standards to metallic fabrication projects.
  • Review engineering drawings and documents for part conformance and assist in resolving part failure analysis for fabrication, assembly and in service problems.
  • Implement concepts and designs, analyze prototype systems, equipment, and processes, and verify compliance with customer requirements, company policy, procedures and guidelines, and governmental regulations.
  • Facilitate technology implementation in production and provide support to the user community.
  • Determine the feasibility of new design, modeling, and fabrication techniques, as well as investigate and analyze problems to restore the quality and functionality of products and processes.
  • Oversee fabrication of test parts and components in support of metallic fabrication research projects
  • Assist with programming and sustainment of lab machining assets

The Composite Manufacturing Research & Technology team is looking for an Engineering Technical Analyst with extensive Composite Fabrication experience to guide Estimating, fabricationandReport Outactivities in support of multiple commercial and defense research projects. In this role you will work with engineering teams, materials & process teams, and program teams, to collaboratively guide technical solutions from the lab to the factory floor.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related experience with fabricationand machiningtechnology
  • 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with CATIA or other equivalent CAD programs
  • Engineering and technical drawing interpretation knowledge
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Understand Estimating and Budgets

  • Summary Pay Range: $78,100 - $119,700
