Job summary

Safran Seats is seeking a Fabrication Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Gainesville, TX. You will oversee production flow, promote safety, train staff, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in sheet metal fabrication or related processes, strong problem-solving and leadership skills, and experience with MRP systems and blueprints. Relocation assistance is not stated.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• At least three years of experience in production processes and related machinery.
• Must know MRP systems, scheduling, and blueprints; MAPICS experience preferred.
• Ability to read/write in English and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an optimum flow of production through the department or work cell.
• Promotes safety in all department activities.
• Provides training to all employees and ensures understanding of duties.
• Cross-trains employees for added efficiency.
• Develops strong communications and positive relations with staff.
• Handles complaints and pre-grievances with employees.
• Supervises labor and material to manage variances.
• Encourages corrective action for quality improvements.
• Fosters development of new concepts for continuous improvement.
