Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) seeks a highly proficient Senior Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to serve as Senior Design Integrator for F135 ECU and Base HPC programs. Lead integration strategy for ECU test phases and embed lessons learned into ECU development.

The role requires cross‑discipline leadership, mentoring, and effective communication across IPTs/CIPTs, with a focus on design strategy and data‑driven improvements in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 10+ years of experience, or an advanced degree with 7+ years of mechanical design.
• US citizenship is required to access program information.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated design strategies for ECU module and engine‑level test‑validation phases.
• Drive lessons‑learned transfer from Base to ECU across modules and disciplines.
• Provide guidance as a design leader and cross‑discipline problem solver.
• Oversee design‑validation workstreams including manufacturing readiness and risk mitigation.
• Shape tools, methods, and data systems used across the design organization.
• Mentor engineers through training, reviews, and coaching.
• Run AI‑enabled workflows to improve engineering efficiency.
• Travel up to 10% domestically as required.
