Job summary

The role requires ongoing collaboration with Sales and Management to ensure timely deliveries. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Purchasing, a High School Diploma or higher, and must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3 minimum years of experience in Purchasing or related experience.
• High School Diploma.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production schedule and coordinates with Planning and Manufacturing to communicate priorities among Purchase Orders.
• Follows up on special requests or work orders to anticipate delays in the shipping plan.
• Expedites operations delaying schedules and adjusts schedules to meet unforeseen conditions by communicating with departments and customers.
• Reviews production schedule for orders and reports on status to identify delays.
• Monitors projected delivery timelines to customer promises.
• Prepares summary reports on order status for Sales, Customers and Management.
• Maintains weekly visibility on part shortages.
• Negotiates with Howmet factories and customers regarding expedite fees and delivery date improvements.
• Contacts 3rd party suppliers for delivery information on Purchase Orders
