Job summary

Actalent in Newington, CT seeks an Aerospace Estimator to support customer quoting and new business activities for complex aerospace manufacturing programs. You will review drawings, specs, and data to determine materials, costs, and risks, helping produce accurate, competitive quotations.

You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Business Development to ensure estimates reflect capabilities and customer requirements, supporting growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to interpret GD&T and derive manufacturing requirements.
• Understanding of machining and aerospace component production.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and data to determine manufacturing requirements.
• Develop accurate cost estimates from RFQs/RFPs.
• Establish routings and production workflows for aerospace components.
• Evaluate materials, labor, tooling, inspection, and outside services.
• Create and maintain BOMs and cost structures.
• Support make-versus-buy analyses and NPI efforts.
