Job summary

SJ Mobilita is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations in a high-regulation aerospace manufacturing setting. The role focuses on driving engineering excellence, guiding cross-functional teams, and optimizing special manufacturing processes while ensuring compliance with rigorous quality standards.

The successful candidate will oversee Thermal Spray, Chemical Processing, and Advanced Coatings, drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, and support NPI, process validation, and CAPEX

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Strong expertise in Thermal Spray, Chemical Processing or Aerospace Coating technologies.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, and Nadcap audits.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing, Process, and Quality Engineers.
• Drive process improvements across Thermal Spray, Chemical Processing (Plating, Anodizing, Passivation), and Advanced Coatings.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and Nadcap standards.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI), process validation, and production readiness.
• Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Customers, and Suppliers to deliver
• Lead CAPEX projects involving new equipment, automation, and process improvements.
