Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking an Engineering Manager for our aerospace manufacturing environment, focusing on special processes such as thermal spray, chemical processing, and coatings. This role leads a team of engineers to drive efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance across operations.

The ideal candidate has extensive aerospace engineering leadership experience, deep hands-on knowledge of special processes, and a track record of Lean/Six Sigma improvements and CAPEX-driven upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field).
• 10+ years of engineering experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong background in special processes (thermal spray, chemical processing, coatings).
• Experience with aerospace quality systems and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing, process, and quality engineers.
• Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Oversee engineering support for production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Drive process optimization across thermal spray, chemical processing, and coating technologies.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure engineering processes align with Nadcap, ISO 9001 and AS9100; lead audits.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives; drive CAPEX projects and process upgrades.
• Support quoting, feasibility, and process development for new programs; oversee documentation.
