Job summary

Confidential in Pennsylvania seeks an Engineering Manager to plan, organize, implement and control engineering, R&D, and production design activities to meet customer specs, costs, and schedules.

You will lead a multi-discipline team, establish standards, manage budgets, and partner with marketing and leadership to drive projects from RFP to sustaining engineering, with a hands-on and strategic approach.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in aircraft/aerospace design and structural analysis; product development background.
• Experience with aircraft certification to EASA, Transport Canada, and/or FAA 14 CFR FAR 25.
• Experience from program award to milestones such as PDR, CDR, PRR, SOF, EIS.
• Strong understanding of engineering design, GD&T, and configuration management per ASME Y14.5 and AS9100.
• CAD tools experience (Solidworks, AutoCad, CATIA V5, Mastercam, Surfcam).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage an Engineering Department with diverse disciplines.
• Organize, schedule and supervise R&D, Design and Manufacturing Engineering to meet schedules and costs.
• Set engineering standards and policies promoting technical excellence and cross-functional cooperation.
• Support Marketing in technical/customer presentations.
• Review detailed design activities including drawings, stress analysis, and project schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (VA/VE, process optimization, safety).
• Lead design reviews and interdepartmental presentations to align with org activities.
• Coordinate with manufacturing during product development and production phases.
